The Belgian-Dutch financial services group FORTIS has bought up the dental insurance business of the American group PROTECTIVE LIFE for the sum of $300 million in cash. The total of the insurance products of the dental activity of PROTECTIVE LIFE rose to $334.4 million in 2000.
