11/07/2001 (Agence Europe) - A delegation from the United Left/Nordic Green Left group in the European Parliament lead by the group President Francis Wurtz, will be in Genoa for the G8 Summit (from 20 to 22 July). The Group supports the political demands of the Genoa Social Forum and the demonstrations that, in a political manner, and especially non-violent, will mark the summit, indicates a press release, which asserts that the G8 must listen to the content of the popular non-violent protest which, since Seattle, is becoming increasingly strong and organised. The leaders of the most industrialised countries must make the courageous choice, beginning with the cancellation of the LDC debt and the establishment of a Tobin tax, asserts the GUE/NGL.
