Brussels, 11/05/2001 (Agence Europe) - The Commission has decided to grant additional aid of 2 million euro for displaced persons and refugees in Chechnya. Managed by Echo, the planned actions, over a three month period, aim at covering the essential food needs of the population, notably the immediate distribution of seeds to allow for self-sufficiency from the autumn of 2001.
