11/05/2001 (Agence Europe) - French Socialist Pervenche Beres MEP, has pleaded in favour of the Presidium of the Convention that should prepare the next IGC on institutional reform to be "fully involved in the final IGC". "Instead of a Committee of the Wise, it is the Presidium" that should, she says, be the "reference body for the direction and organisation of the debate on the future of the Union".
