EP report in favour of the disabled

Brussels, 02/04/2001 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament will be discussing, on Tuesday, the report by Marie-Thérèse Hermange (EPP-ED, France) on the Commission's communication "Towards a barrier-free Europe for people with disabilities". The report calls on the Commission to present a proposal for a specific action programme for the disabled beginning in 2004 in order to continue the work to be undertaken during the European Year for the Disabled in 2003.
