Lindh and Patten to meet Sharon, Peres and Arafat

Brussels, 09/03/2001 (Agence Europe) - Anna Lindh, EU Council President, and the Commissioner for external relations, Chris Patten are to visit the Middle East on 12 and 13 March, just a few days after the new Israeli Government was sworn in. In Gaza, on 12 March, they will meet President Arafat, and, in Jerusalem on 13 March, Prime Minister Sharon and Foreign Minister Peres.
