On Monday, Commission to adopt package of measures linked to management of beef sector in BSE context

Brussels, 12/02/2001 (Agence Europe) - A certain redirection of Common Agricultural Policy seems to be taking shape behind the package of measures that the European Commission is expected to adopt, on Tuesday in Strasbourg, in order to rationalise the management of aid in the context of the mad cow crisis. The proposal made by Commissioner Franz Fischler mainly aims to modify certain aspects of the common market organisation (CMO) for beef, even if it slightly affects the CMO for cereals....
