12/02/2001 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has confirmed the existence of an investigation involving certain oil companies and service stations in Spain, suspected of illegal concerted agreements. It has sent a letter to Spanish authorities to obtain additional information on this subject. The sending of this questionnaire is part of a longer investigation into competition conditions in the fuel sector in the EU. EUROPE will be back with details.
