Parliament amends in-depth Commission proposal considering it too restrictive, but postpones vote in order to start negotiations with it

Strasbourg, 17/11/2000 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday the European Parliament approved with nearly no exceptions the 62 amendments presented by its rapporteur, the British Labour member Michael Cashman, to the European Commission proposal on the regulation concerning public access to Parliament, Council and Commission documents.
