Mr Lamfalussy considers urgent reform of European legislative process, rather than European Securities regulation authority

Brussels, 13/11/2000 (Agence Europe) - The idea to create a single Community securities regulatory authority was not adopted by the "Committee of Wise Men on the Regulation of the European securities markets", which, last week, presented its preliminary report. The group chaired by Alexandre Lamfalussy concluded rather for the urgent reform of the European regulatory system.
