Strasbourg, 27/10/2000 (Agence Europe) - With the adoption (by 403 in favour, 65 against and 78 abstentions) of a resolution on the informal summit of Biarritz presented by the EPP/ED, Socialist, Liberal and Greens groups (see debate in EUROPE of 24 October, pages 3-5), the European Parliament reaffirmed in particular its hope that the Charter of Fundamental Rights would be incorporated into the Treaty or, at least, cited in Article 6 of the Treaty, as soon as it is proclaimed in Nice.
