- Poland: In 2000, Poland should become the leading host country for French investment. While investments had progressed by nearly 60% in 1999, reaching the sum of $3.9 billion compared to the previous year, the year 2000 looks as if it will be even more exceptional. With around $10 billion invested and about 800 companies present, France should become the main foreign investor in Poland supplanting Germany.
