Commission adopts its package for employment and calls for creation of "high quality jobs for high quality labour"

Strasbourg, 06/09/2000 (Agence Europe) - As foreseen, the European Commission adopted, this Wednesday, during its weekly meeting, the new "Package for employment 2001" (see EUROPE OF 4&5 September, p.10). Drafted on the initiative of Anna Diamantopoulou, this package is aimed at injecting new impetus enabling to take advantage of the present favourable economic climate and to put Europe to work.
