Mondi/Frantschach may take over AssiDoman's companies

Brussels, 03/08/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has approved a merger whereby Mondi, the European paper and packaging branch of the Anglo-American Group intends taking exclusive control of the Austrian company Frantschach AG and several European companies of AssiDoman (Sweden). This operation concerns, in particular, the industrial sacks and sack paper sectors. Initially, Mondi is considering taking its share within Frantschach from 50 to 70%.
