ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) automobile equipment

SOLVAY AUTOMOTIVE ASIA, subsidiary of INERGY AUTOMOTIVE SYSTEMS, joint-venture between SOLVAY and France's PLASTIC OMNIUM, has signed an agreement for the acquisition of the division producing plastic petrol tanks of the Japanese manufacturer NISSAN MOTOR. The transaction, the cost of which has not been disclosed, concerns three production sites in Japan. Operational in September 2000, INERGY AUTOMOTIVE SYSTEMS will produce 9 million plastic tanks next year and have a turnover of some 1 bn...
