Brussels, 03/08/2000 (Agence Europe) - On Monday, the European Commission approved the creation of the joint-venture e-peopleserve between Andersen Consulting and BT, two companies based in London, considering that this company is a new entrant in the market for human resources services and therefore does not create or strengthen a dominant position. The joint-venture, which will serve corporate and other organisations on a worldwide basis, will be one of the first operators offering human resources services covering the entire employment lifecycle, linked to recruitment, training, administration and pensions. It is the first company to use electronic support to offer this type of service.
BT is the former telecommunications incumbent in the UK, and Andersen Consulting is one of the leading, worldwide operating management and technology firms. Both are active in separate markets.
