The German group BAYER is to create a 50/50 joint-venture with Mexico's IMSA. Called BAYER-IMSA, this new company will be active in the "Makrolon" polycarbonate sector, and develop its activities in Central America. BAYER had a turnover in Mexico in 1999 of $500 million, with a workforce of 2,500.
