Commission approves acquisition of Avis leasing activities in Europe by French bank BNP-Parisbas

Brussels, 03/08/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has approved the French bank BNP-Paribas' takeover of the vehicle management services pooled under PHH Europe, subsidiary of the American group AVIS. The French bank intends merging PHH Europe, present in Austria, Germany, Ireland, Switzerland and the united Kingdom, with its subsidiary Arval, active in France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Italy, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
