Certain Italian aid schemes for local, regional or national transport are declared unlawful by the European Commission

Luxembourg, 26/06/2000 (Agence Europe) - The Court of First Instance has partially cancelled a decision by the European Commission concerning aid to transport in Italy. The Commission's condemnation remains valid for aid to international transport. It is cancelled for aid to local, regional or national transport.

The schemes that are being brought into question were covered by the regional regulations of Friuli-Venezia Giulia establishing aid to small road haulage companies, schemes not...
