Commissioner de Palacio strongly attacks "disinformation" by striking French air traffic controllers, regarding claimed "privatisation" of air traffic control within EU

Luxembourg, 26/06/2000 (Agence Europe) - "The strike by the air traffic controllers in France is totally unjustified. There is disinformation when it is said that the Commission wants to privatise air traffic control: it is completely false", declared European Transport Commissioner Ms Loyola de Palacio after a heated discussion with French Minister Jean-Claude Gayssot during Monday's Transport Council.
