Porto, 19/06/2000 (Agence Europe) - Following the European Liberal Democrat summit, the Belgian Prime Minister Guy Verhofstadt, questioned on the prospects for a lifting of the "sanctions" by the fourteen against Austria at the Feira summit, asserted that it was not a case of "sanctions," but of "measures", and that for the moment "there are no facts" that justify a change of position by the fourteen; there is no reason to discuss it at the summit.
