ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) precious metals

The Canadian gold company FRANCO-NEVADA and South Africa's GOLD FIELDS have announced that they will be merging into a new venture, GOLD FIELDS INTERNATIONAL. The new firm will be worth USD 3.7 billion on the stock exchange and will have annual production of 4.4 million ounces. It will be the world's third largest group in this sector.
