Commission feels there is no element of aid in conditions of sale of State shares in K&S to BASF subsidiary

Brussels, 14/06/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission felt that there was no element of aid in the conditions of the sale by Bundesanstalt fur vereinigungsbedingte Sonderaufgaben (BvS) of its remaining share of 49% in Kali und Salz GmbH (K&S). Thus it closed the investigation.

Employing 8,000 people, K&S carries out its activities in the field of mining potassium and rock salt, and the production of salt. After long negotiations, the German States sold its share in K&S to Kali und...
