Commission investigates co-operation between Electricité de France and Compagnie National du Rhone

Brussels, 15/05/2000 (Agence Europe) - The Commission's Directorate General for Competition opened an investigation into the French electricity production and marketing sector, due to worries over co-operation between Electricité de France (EDF), the main French electricity producer, and Compagnie nationale du Rhone (CNR), a significant independent producer with a national market share of 4%.
