Brussels, 15/05/2000 (Agence Europe) - The Council of the Union has decided to impose definitive countervailing duties on imports of synthetic polyester fibres originating in Australia, Indonesia and Taiwan, transforming the provisional duties being imposed since the start of the year. Duties corresponding to the subsidy margins found to exist in each of these countries (1.5% for Taiwan, 6% for Australia and 10% for Indonesia) have therefore been established.
