Albright invites EU to grant new trade preferences to Balkan states

Brussels, 10/03/2000 (Agence Europe) - Just weeks before the special international donors' conference relating to the Stability Pact for the Balkans (to be held on 29 and 30 March in Brussels under the auspices of the European Commission and the World Bank), US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright invited the EU to grant additional trade preferences to the Balkan states as a contribution to the general development of the Balkans region.
