The Swiss bank UBS has announced the consolidation of its resources in the area of financial management and analysis with the merger of BRINSON PARTNERS and PHILLIPS & DREW, the two institutional management units of its new division UBS ASSET MANAGEMENT, which together employ 1,800 people. At the end of September 1999, UBS ASSET MANAGEMENT was handling assets of CHF 538 billion with a workforce of nearly 2,700 people worldwide.
