Brussels, 14/02/2000 (Agence Europe) - The General Affairs Council decided to waive, for six months, the embargo on flights between EU countries and the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. The suspension concerns both EU and Yugoslav airlines. At the same time, the Fifteen extended the list of Yugoslavs who may not be given a visa and invited the Commission to come forward with detailed proposals for strengthening the effectiveness of existing financial sanctions.
