14/02/2000 (Agence Europe) - WTO Secretary General Mike Moore declared that China's accession to the WTO may well take place during this year. He urged the members of the organisation to work towards this. In this context, the next major negotiation to take place will be that in Beijing at the end of the month between the European Union and China.
