Human rights situation in China indirectly added to agenda of the plenary session

Brussels, 11/02/2000 (Agence Europe) - The conference of presidents of the political groups have only brought slight changes to the draft agenda of the plenary session of the European Parliament next week in Strasbourg (see EUROPE of 11 February, p.9). It introduced, for Wednesday morning, a Council declaration on the EU's priorities for the next session of the United Nations Human Rights Committee in Geneva.
