The American group CITIGROUP has signed an agreement with the national Polish insurance company PZU concerning the acquisition of 33% held by the latter in BANK HANDLOWY (own funds of $776 million with deposits of $4.9 billion). The amount offered gives the Polish bank a value of a little over $1 billion.
