Spanish BSCH - BANCO SANTANDER CENTRAL HISPANO has made a public bid of $750 million on the minority interests of its Argentinean subsidiary BANCO RIO DE LA PLATA. The operation will be carried out through a share swap by way of 5 BSCH shares for 7 BANCO RIO DE LA PLATA shares. The Spanish group already holds 52.7% of the subsidiary's share capital.
