Commission ends infringement procedure against France for non-transposition of the "Wild Birds" directive

Brussels, 21/01/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission is ending the infringement procedure against France for the non-transposition into national law of the "wild birds" directive Twenty years after the adoption of Directive 79/409/EEC and after ten years of proceedings at the Court of Justice, the French authorities forwarded to the Commission and to the Court the decree which integrated into national law the protection of all the species of wild birds concerned.
