Brussels, 12/01/2000 (Agence Europe) - The President of the Socialist Group, Enrique Baron Crespo accused Nicole Fontaine on Wednesday of having "sabotaged an important step in restoring public confidence in the EU and betrayed the interests of Europe's citizens" by taking the decision "he spoke of an "unacceptable action") of postponing President Romano's statement on the Commission's programme for the next five years.
