Operation approved regarding distance-control systems for the automotive industry

Brussels, 12/01/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has authorised Conti Teves (Continental AG group, Germany) to take a share in the joint-venture ADC, Automotive Control System (Germany). ADC was created by Temix Telefunken Microelectronic (DainlerChrysler group, Germany) and Leica Geosystems (Switzerland) to develop and market distance control systems for the automotive industry.

The European competition services considered that this share acquisition would not alter ADC's market share and was therefore in compliance with European rules of competition.
