European Commission mobilises €36 million in response to “forgotten crises” in Mozambique and region

Brussels, 16/03/2026 (Agence Europe) – In a press release issued on Monday 16 March, the European Commission announced that it had allocated €36 million in humanitarian aid to six countries in southern Africa and the Indian Ocean. This budget allocation targets “forgotten crises”, neglected by donors, but marked by acute food insecurity and massive population displacements.
