European Commission launches a platform to strengthen role of women in agriculture

09/03/2026 (Agence Europe) – On Sunday 8 March, the European Commission launched the Women in Farming Platform to mark International Women’s Day. This initiative aims to strengthen the role of women in agriculture and rural communities. It was announced in the ‘Vision for Agriculture and Food’ presented by the Commission in 2025.
