On Wednesday 18 February, the European Commission announced the appointment of three new directors within its institution.
Frenchwoman Astrid Cousin, former head of unit responsible for strategic coordination in the Directorate-General for Competition (DG COMP), has been appointed Director for Horizontal Policies in the Directorate-General for Financial Stability, Financial Services and Capital Markets Union (DG FISMA).
The current head of the ‘Sustainable Finance’ unit within DG FISMA, the Franco-Belgian Didier Millerot, has been promoted to Director for General Affairs.
Finally, the head of the ‘Protection of Minors and Other Societal Risks’ unit in the Directorate-General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology (DG CNECT), the German Prabhat Agarwal, has become Director of Online Platforms.
The dates on which the three new roles will take effect will be determined at a later date, the Commission said at midday on Wednesday. (Original version in French by Bernard Denuit)
