11/02/2026 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 9 February, the European Anti-Money Laundering Authority (AMLA) launched a consultation with stakeholders on the development of three draft harmonised regulatory technical standards on customer due diligence. The first project, on business relationships, aims to establish criteria for identifying business relationships, occasional transactions and related transactions. The second, on customer due diligence, defines how obliged entities verify the identity of customers. Finally, the third establishes a common supervisory approach for assessing, classifying and responding to breaches of institutions’ obligations. The consultation is open until Monday 9 March.
