European Parliament has approved €7.5 million in European funds to help workers made redundant by Audi in Belgium

11/02/2026 (Agence Europe) – By a very large majority (593 votes in favour, 55 against and 9 abstentions), MEPs convened in plenary session of the European Parliament in Strasbourg on Wednesday 11 February approved a resolution to release €7.5 million from the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund (EGF) for displaced workers, to help employees affected by the closure of Audi’s Brussels plant a year ago.
