2027 budget - Member States approve EU Council conclusions on budget guidelines

On Tuesday 10 February, Member States’ ambassadors to the European Union (Coreper II) approved draft Council conclusions establishing the budget guidelines for 2027, with a view to their formal adoption by finance ministers at the Economic and Financial Affairs Council (Ecofin) on 17 February. 

These guidelines should serve as a framework for the Commission to prepare the draft annual budget, the last year of the 2021-2027 Multiannual Financial Framework.
