EU imposes definitive anti-dumping duty on Chinese imports of fused alumina

On Thursday 15 January, the European Union imposed a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of fused alumina from China. Alumina is a tough abrasive material used for sandblasting glass and aluminium alloys.

An investigation was opened on 21 November following a complaint lodged by the EU’s fused alumina industry (see EUROPE B13529A20).
