According to Raffaele Fitto, strategy for eastern border regions is scheduled for first quarter of 2026

During a conference on cohesion policy held in Romania on Friday, 21 November, European Commission Executive Vice-President Raffaele Fitto declared that it was necessary to “modernise cohesion policy, building on its core principles: the place-based approach, partnership, and shared management.”
