21/11/2025 (Agence Europe) – According to the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity’s (ENTSO-E) new Winter Outlook 2025-2026 report, published on Thursday 20 November, Europe is well prepared for the coming winter, with limited regional risks. There could be risks to electricity supplies in Cyprus, Ireland and Malta. In addition, there are minor risks for Finland, Estonia and Lithuania, “in the event of exceptionally adverse operational conditions combined with cold weather”. The report highlights that, compared with last winter, there has been a fall in the consumption of conventional electricity and an increase in the consumption of renewable energy.
