27/10/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 27 October, the Council renewed the EU’s autonomous restrictive measures against Daesh and al-Qaeda, and individuals, groups, undertakings and entities associated with them, for one year, until 31 October 2026. At present, 15 people and 7 groups are involved. Their assets are frozen and individuals are banned from travelling within the EU. Furthermore, EU persons and entities are prohibited from making funds, financial assets or economic resources available to them. These restrictive measures complement those imposed by the United Nations Security Council against these two terrorist organisations. (CG)
