Brussels, 22/10/2025 (Agence Europe) – After the European Parliament (see EUROPE 13732/7), the Permanent Representatives of the Member States to the European Union (Coreper) did not reject the delegated act on ‘low-carbon’ hydrogen on Wednesday 22 October. The subject, discussed at technical level, was passed without debate by Coreper. On 14 October, the Danish Presidency of the Council of the EU circulated a note inviting national delegations not to submit any objections to this delegated act presented by the European Commission at the beginning of July (see EUROPE 13677/21). As its name suggests, the act aims to define the hydrogen that can be considered ‘low carbon’. The European Parliament and the Council of the EU had two months to approve or reject the text following the Commission’s proposal, but an extension was granted until 8 November. (PLD)
