20/10/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 20 October, the European Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos, announced that Ukraine and Moldova were ready to open all their negotiation clusters on EU accession. “The Commission has completed the analysis of all legislation of these two countries, and by November the Council will have the opportunity to start all six blocks of negotiations. After that everything will be ready to accelerate reforms”, she stressed on her arrival at the EU Foreign Affairs Council in Luxembourg. Although Hungary has so far blocked the opening of the first set of clusters for Ukraine, the Commissioner said she expected Budapest to support the opening of these sets of clusters from now on, explaining that concerns about the Hungarian minority in Ukraine could be addressed in the first of these sets, which focuses on the fundamentals.
