The second package of proposals for the 2028-2034 Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) is expected on Wednesday 3 September, following the meeting of the European College of Commissioners. The European Commission presented the first and main part of its proposal on 16 July (see EUROPE 13682/1).
This second package is expected to include the following proposals for regulations for the period 2028-2034: - the Single Market and Customs Union programme; - the ‘Justice’ programme; - Euratom and the nuclear safety programme; - the research and training programme of the European Atomic Energy Community (2028-2032), complementing Horizon Europe; - the framework programme for research and innovation, including the contribution to the ITER project; - the proposal on the association of the Overseas Countries and Territories with the European Union (including EU-Greenland-Denmark relations).
The European Commission points out that, as this list is provisional, it is subject to change.
The College meeting will be followed by a press conference by the European Commissioner for Justice, Michael McGrath, on the new Justice programme as part of the second package of the 2028-2034 MFF. (Original version in French by Florent Servia)
