Euro area inflation estimated at 2.1% in August

02/09/2025 (Agence Europe) – Euro area annual inflation is estimated at 2.1% in August, up from 2.0% in July according to a flash estimate from the Statistical Office of the European Union (Eurostat) on Tuesday 2 September. The highest rates were recorded in Estonia (6.2%), Croatia (4.6%) and Slovakia (4.4%), while the lowest rates were observed in Cyprus (-0.1%), France (0.8%) and Italy (1.7%). The rise in prices was weak in Italy (1.7%), moderate in Germany (2.1%) and strong in Spain...
