European Heritage Days 2025 kicks off with a focus on architecture

02/09/2025 (Agence Europe) – The European Heritage Days opened on Tuesday 2 September, with the theme ‘Architectural heritage: windows on the past, doors to the future’. Launched in 1985 by the Council of Europe and co-organised with the European Union since 1999, these days attract more than 20 million visitors every year and are a joint initiative co-financed by the European Union’s Creative Europe programme.
